Press release from the City of Santa Cruz: April 6, 2021 On April 13th, City Council will consider the adoption of two new fees. The Childcare and Public Safety Impact Fee are fees charged on new residential and nonresidential development. Fee revenues would be used to sustain existing levels of service and/or provide expanded levels of service for childcare facilities and fire and police facilities, apparatuses, vehicles, and equipment. A graduated fee schedule is being proposed over a three year period. Review the Graduated Fee Schedule and Nexus Study for each fee below.
