A relaxed social gathering open to anyone affected by memory loss or related cognitive changes & their care partner.
WHO ARE WE?
The KAIROS Memory Café opened its doors in March 2021. This is a relaxed social gathering held monthly, free of charge and open to anyone affected by memory loss or related cognitive changes and their care partner. The KAIROS Memory Café is designed to make people with dementia feel comfortable and successful. For care partners, the Memory Café is a much-needed break and a chance to have fun together without focusing on the disease. The cafe' offers a safe and fun environment for socializing, meeting new people, engaging in activities such as music, art, dancing, cooking, exercise, community service projects and much more!
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF A MEMORY CAFÉ?
Cafés are a cost-effective way to support both the person living with dementia and their care partner. Because cafés are open to people at any stage of disease progression, many café guests are able to continue attending for months or years. For those who have not been diagnosed, or those who do not want to talk about their diagnosis, cafés offer a place to connect with others.
