CRANSTON, RI — A Cranston man is facing charges after he was found with "a substantial amount" of drugs and thousands of dollars in cash, police said. Nico German Jr., 19, was arrested at his Smith Street home Tuesday morning, according to police. The Cranston Police Department's Special Investigations Unit determined that he was selling drugs from his home, even as he was on home confinement from a previous drug arrest. He also had a gun, police said. Police found 365 grams of marijuana, 100 edible THC chocolate bars, 95 other THC edibles, seven rounds of 0.45 caliber ammunition, other drug paraphernalia and more than $18,000 cash, the department said in a release. Another, related search at a different location turned up an additional $40,000 in cash. German was charged with manufacturing, possession or delivery of schedule one and two drugs. He was arraigned in Third Division District Court and held as a bail violator. Nico German Jr., 19. (Cranston Police Department)
