JOLIET, IL — A 19-year-old Joliet man and a 26-year-old Joliet woman are now in the Will County Jail facing first-degree murder charges. Abraham Bibian II and Paola Diaz were put in county detention late Tuesday night. Bibian and Diaz are being charged in connection with Sunday night's slaying of an 18-year-old man. Joliet Police Department detectives said they quickly identified Diaz and Bibian as suspects in connection with the deadly shooting. Homicide victim Jwaun Jones was in a car near Western Avenue and North Bluff Street on Sunday night when he was shot, police said. The driver of the car rushed the shooting victim to Joliet's AMITA Saint Joseph Medical Center where Jones died several hours later. Abraham Bibian also faces murder charges in connection with Sunday night's Joliet homicide. Mugshot via Will County Jones' slaying marked the second homicide of the year for Joliet. Both killings happened within the past week. Ben Rockett, who was convicted of murder in 1991, is now being held in jail in connection with the March 31 death of a 56-year-old woman. Rockett and the victim, Sonja Underwood, lived together, police said.
