Landscape Maintenance Crew Leader Weiland & Associates, Inc. is looking for an experienced and dependable landscape maintenance crew leader with a valid California driver’s license to drive the crew on a daily landscape maintenance route and assist with maintenance of properties. Team/Crew leader Responsibilities: • Managing and working alongside a crew of up to 3 people • Ensuring all work is completed on time and to management specifications and per client request • Managing the use and maintenance of equipment • Promoting safe work practices • Specific tasks include, but not limited to: mowing, pruning, weed control, plant care, and ability to trouble-shoot/monitor/adjust/repair irrigation systems Requirements: • Ability to (speak & write) in English and Spanish • A minimum of 2 years of experience is preferred as a crew leader in the landscaping industry • Ability to use and maintain outdoor power equipment: lawnmowers; weed trimmers; hedge trimmers, and blowers, etc. • Ability to carry 20 lbs. backpack blower on back, use various mowers, leverage 50 lbs. of a walk behind mower over curbs, walk 5 to10 miles a day, stoop, stand and bend for 8 hours or more a day, lift branches and limbs, grip and squeeze repeatedly (to prune), use hand saw • Ability to perform irrigation repairs • Strong work ethic • Strong communication skills • Strong leadership skills • Valid CA driver’s license with good driving record required All applicants must possess a valid California driver's license, provide a clean DMV report, and submit to drug screening if requested.
