We are a small, tightly knit team of dog lovers, closed on weekends and holidays, we need a very part time weekday worker! Requirements: Love of dogs! At least 18 years of age. The ability to lift up to 40lbs. Eager to learn, and adapt to a dog’s unique needs Previous experience with dog handling preferred but not required As a Dog Handler at DGH, you will: Gain a new understanding of dog behavior, body language, and group dynamics Help your teammates manage the day’s doggy group while they play, keeping them safe, happy, and reasonably quiet. Clean up pet waste + messes as they occur and assist in cleaning of daycare nightly Be working both indoors and outdoors Facilitate safe dog playtime with toys, other dogs, kiddie pools, training games, and more! Feed dogs for lunchtime and refresh water bowls Fill out written ”report cards” and take photos of dogs monthly (sometimes wearing silly props) Interact with clients, politely admitting their dog into daycare or telling them a little bit about their dogs day when they are picked up.
