First Lady Jill Biden Reschedules Alabama Trip

WASHINGTON, DC — First Lady Jill Biden has rescheduled her trip to the Birmingham area, planning to arrive with actor and activist Jennifer Garner Friday. Biden's initial trip to Alabama was planned for March 26 but was postponed when tornadoes and heavy thunderstorms swept through the state March 25. The first lady has included the Magic City in her "Help is Here" tour to showcase how the American Rescue Plan addresses childhood poverty. Biden and Garner were set tour the Jasper Area Family Service Center in Jasper and visit the YWCA of Central Alabama in Birmingham, but Biden's schedule for Friday has not been released. The First Lady has previously traveled to Connecticut, Pennsylvania, New Hampshire and New Jersey in her "Hope is Here" tour.
