Inventory Specialist Hauppauge, NY $18.00-$20.00 per hour dependent on experience Hours are 7am-3:30pm (Overtime available as needed) We are a fabrication company dealing with Aluminum and Glass. This is a live manufacturing plant, looking for an attentive and safety cautious individual. Please read below position(s) available for full-time employment. POSITION AVAILABLE: Inventory Specialist: Involved individual that communicates and executes the following tasks in an organized and diligent manner. Fast-paced environment, must be able to multitask. Computer skills a must, as well as filing and paperwork. Forklift experience preferred. i. Oversees shipping and receiving: 1) Receiving: - Accept materials and signs off on packing slips - Inventory items and log them - Communicate with office via emailing and paperwork - Organize incoming shipment dates, and schedule accordingly. 2) Shipping: - Overseas shipping materials and logs finished materials going out. - Renders packing slip and files into system. - Emails packing slips to the receiving site. - Ensures materials are loaded safely and correctly. - Organize outgoing shipment dates, and schedule accordingly. 3) Inventory: - Keeps accessory room neat and tidy, items separated by project. - Gain and understand technical information regarding accessories. - Distributes and documents materials to shop via inventory program. - Performs routine inventory check ups - Forecasts items for weekly usage and flags any concerns. - Communicates closely with Production Manager and Purchasing department. - Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
