Did you know that there are more than 100 languages spoken in Omaha? We’re a nonprofit arts organization is working with the artist Ekene Ijeoma to document the diverse languages spoken in the Omaha metropolitan area. Together we are collecting phone recordings of Omaha residents counting from 1 to 100 for a multimedia artwork. This artwork will be on display as part of the exhibition All Together, Amongst Many: Reflections on Empathy at Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts from June 3 - September 18, 2021. Please help us create an artwork that includes all communities, voices and languages of Omaha by calling (four0two-2five1-2four2six) and recording yourself saying 1-100 in any language. Our 24/7 counting hotline is an automated voice system so just call and respond to the prompts. Recording should only take about 5 minutes.
