This is Craiglist Policy: "pets (no animal sales or breeding -- rehoming with small adoption fee is ok -- info on free to good home ads)" You may find this notice when posting for pets. It means breeders do not post here. A small adoption fee is not $3,000. You are not allowed to ask for "deposits" and some are up to 500.00. Consumers do not send! These dogs often have no papers and are not what they say. This will be reported to Craiglist. The next step: Craigslist, the IRS, and possibly the police. This is to protect the community. Breeders do not post here. You pay a fee and you advertise through the newspaper, OR sell your dogs to pet stores! If they will buy them. This notice will be repeated so as many people as possible can read it. You are only allowed to find a home as is adoption, no large fees. Note the end of Craiglist's policy states "small adoption fee," and refers to free to good home. Multiple breed dogs and cats are to be free! to a good home and pedigree sales are not allowed here.
