Position: MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN Job Type: Full Time Compensation: $14 - $17 (Dependent on experience and ability. Willing to train the right candidate.) Local family owned property management company is looking to fill an immediate opening for the position of Maintenance Tech. We’re looking for a friendly, outgoing individual who has general maintenance experience and can offer competent service to our tenants. The individual needs to be professional, organized, reliable, self-motivated, courteous, patient and efficient; must be detail oriented, able to work as a team player, and able to prioritize and perform multiple projects and tasks. General Position Summary: Perform basic carpentry, painting, and general repair and maintenance tasks to maintain properties in good condition. Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities: • Complete maintenance and repair projects as assigned. • Repair and treat structures such as showers, sinks, appliances, doors/cabinets, walls and building exteriors. • Perform unit turnover preparation, repair and maintenance. • Maintain complete records of maintenance, costs and repairs. • Report unsafe or hazardous conditions to management. Respond to emergency situations and takes appropriate action. • Perform other related duties as assigned. • Work closely with Maintenance Supervisor and Office Manager to schedule and organize ongoing projects. • Maintain work area in clean and professional manner. Specific Job Skills: • Basic knowledge of current repair and maintenance techniques and procedures. • Familiarity with a variety of hand and power tools. • Ability to learn building codes and basic landlord/tenant and fair housing laws. • Capable of dealing effectively with all types of people. Working Conditions: • Frequently lifting, pushing, carrying or pulling 20-50+ pounds • Required period of walking, standing, stooping, working in confined spaces or heights. • Weekly Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm. Possible on call emergency rotation. Qualifications: • Must be 18+ yrs • Valid Driver’s License and Reliable Transportation Required • High School Diploma or equivalent required • Background screening will be performed prior to job offer.
