If you like heavy riffs, sweet melodies and have a passion for making a bigger impact in the world, this gig may be for you… I’m on a mission to form a dream band. Here’s what I’m looking for... The sound: I want to create music that has what I call “Balls”. Something that has heavy riffs like Black Sabbath that make your eyes roll in the back of your skull. I also want to combine this element with sweeter, joyful, and listenable melodies. Think Mac Demarco or Tame Impala. That’s the starting point but I’d also like to add in some electronic elements at some point too The big idea: I’m looking to form a band that’s focused on creating innovative music, attention-grabbing performances and also making a bigger impact in the world. I believe with a powerful band that has a strong influence, you can really do something positive in the world with that. Some things I’d like the band to stand for would be healing trauma, strengthening relationships, finding happiness, and saving the planet. Who I'm looking for: Guitarist, Bass, Keys/effects, Singer. Male and Female. 21 - 35 You’re committed to being the best: You’re a musician that practices every day. You’re always looking for ways to get to the next level. You are focused on doing something big with your music. You’re a team player: Not just within the band but outside of it too. I’m looking for people that are socially aware, communicate effectively, have no ego, and are full of character. You think outside of the box: You have a passion for doing things differently. Following the norm makes you cringe and you are constantly looking for ways to stand out rather than blend in. The goal: - Work up to writing/rehearsing 4x per week. - Playing shows every week. - Touring internationally. Who am I?: I’m a half Canadian, half British Drummer. I’ve been playing for 14 years and have experience with touring, live shows, and studio recording. On the side of music, I’m also a freelance copywriter. (I help businesses sell more of their products with words).
