Description
Looking to fill a physically demanding position installing home appliances. Clean appearance and good customer service skills are essential, as you'll be dealing directly with the homeowner/customer on every job.
Initially you will ride with and assist an experienced tech while earning about $100/day. After sufficient training you will advance to working on your own. At which point the earning potential increases.
Some experience in plumbing, electrical, and carpentry is required. As most of these skills are utilized on a daily basis. We will train you to an extent, but you must have at least some previous exposure to this type of work.
Must be physically fit. The heavy lifting in this business is consistent, mainly carrying dishwashers, microwaves, cooktops, etc., to and from customers' homes; and team-lifting double-wall ovens into place. For instance, you must be able to lift a 60 lbs over-the-range microwave and install it by yourself (which is easier than it sounds with the proper technique).
Driver's license with clean driving record is required, as much (if not most) of your time is spent driving. You must be able to pass a criminal background check as well, since you will be working in customer's homes.
You must have your own tools (eventually) and transportation to and from work every day. You MUST be dependable, meaning you are expected to be here, on time, each and every day you are scheduled.
You will be considered an Independent Contractor, receive a 1099, and therefore be responsible for withholding your own taxes.
