Family owned transportation company in Romeoville, IL is looking for Diesel Mechanic Assistant to maintain company trucks (Freightliner Cascadia) and trailers (Utility, Wabash, Great Dane Dry Vans). You will maintain proficiency in the diagnosis and repair of all assigned equipment. We provide tools. Valid CDL Class A License preferred, but not required. Pay is based on experience. Perform all preventive maintenance inspections, state and federal mandated safety inspections and complete repairs in accordance with DOT requirements. Perform system repairs to include engine (minor), tires, drivetrain, steering, suspension, electrical and A/C. The ability to frequently lift and/or move items weighing up to 75 pounds. Pay will be determined on a per hour rate which will be during the interview process. Schedule: Monday to Friday some Saturdays. Please call for more information: 708-655-2600.
