Finding a momma kitty and kittens?

As we speak, female cats outside are having babies. A little known fact: mother cats do not sit in the nest with their babies. Mama cats scent will draw predators to their young. Because of this, mothers will stay at a distance watching her young while they sleep. If you find a nest of kittens, please LEAVE THEM ALONE! Remember mom is watching. Your presence at her nest will delay her from returning. So while you may be concerned and trying to help, you are more likely to be causing the kittens harm. Please leave them alone. Please tell others to leave kittens alone. Mom will show the kittens how to find food and you will see them when she is ready. In the meantime, simply help give mom the food and water she needs to give healthy nutrition to her babies.
