Allegheny Cemetery seeks Janitor/Housekeeper for either part-time or full-time (30 or 40 hours per week) employment. This position offers a somewhat flexible work schedule to be mutually agreed upon, the ability to work independently and free on-site parking at a historical property in the heart of Lawrenceville. Full-time employment (40 hours/week) comes with a benefits package, including paid time off, healthcare and 401k options. Part-time employment comes with a more flexible schedule to fill 30 hours per week. Duties include routine cleaning of office spaces, restrooms and a large public mausoleum. General responsibilities include dusting, sweeping/mopping floors, disinfecting surfaces, keeping supplies and restroom facilities stocked, garbage collection, light housekeeping and other special jobs as assigned. Must have a current driver’s license and personal transportation to be able to drive between buildings located within a 300 acre property. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who learns quickly, takes pride in the quality of their work and pays attention to detail. A positive attitude is a must, as is respect for the nature of the property in their care. Must be able to stand for long periods of time, kneel down, bend over, lift and carry up to 25lbs and push/pull a supply cart and run a vacuum. Hourly rate is $14. Hours of operation are Monday – Friday 7:30am – 4:30pm, Saturday until 4:00pm and Closed on Sundays. A flexible schedule can be mutually agreed upon within the hours of operation.
