Florida Design Contractors is based in Lake Park, FL and performs Mechanical, Underground, Storm Sewer, Sanitary & Waterline Utilities, and Process Equipment installation in the Water & Wastewater Industry throughout the State. At this time we have openings for Skilled Labors and Pipelayers in the Brevard County area. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Pipelayer: Proven skills on underground and above ground piping using different types of pipe (DIP, PVC, and HDPE) and drainage structures. Read and understand shop drawings to construct pipe support systems and miscellaneous metals, stairway assembly and other activities associated with plant construction. Work with heavy equipment take the lead in the excavation, check grade, and install pipe and/or drainage structures. Able to identify tools, understand grades, survey marks and basic functions of pipe work. Drivers license preferred. Skilled Labor: Perform tasks involving physical labor at construction sites. May operate hand and power tools of all types: air hammers, earth tampers, cement mixers, small mechanical hoists, surveying and measuring equipment, and a variety of other equipment and instruments.
