Job Title: Concrete Finisher/Flatwork Job Description: Prep areas for new concrete including demo of areas, if needed, set grades, level, cut & set forms and wire mesh as needed. Experience with ordering concrete depending upon weather conditions, type of use, etc. Pour and finish either smooth or brush. Duties may include cutting in expansion joints with a power saw, aligning forms to desired depth and pitch, directing the casting of concrete, preparing and cleaning surface areas, and completing moldings using a variety of hand-held and power tools. Essential Job Functions: ● Setting forms that hold the concrete in place. ● Cleaning and inspecting surfaces for pouring issues. ● Directing the casting of the concrete with the truck driver. ● Pouring, smoothing, and leveling concrete using a rake, trowel, float, and screed. This includes handheld tools and power tool versions. ● Monitoring the effects of the weather on the curing process. ● Applying sealing and hardening components. ● Molding and constructing expansion joints using jointer and edging tool as needed. Job Requirements: ● High school diploma (college degree preferred). ● 2 years (3-5 years preferred) work experience as a concrete laborer or mason. ● Must have a valid driver's license, clean driving record and reliable transportation to and from the workshop. ● Must be team player and solution oriented, with a proactive, professional, positive attitude, and be safety oriented.
