New York Family Seeking an Executive Housekeeper with High-Level Laundry Skills! Our New York client seeks an experienced, organized, and detail-oriented full-time Executive Housekeeper to join their team in Dutchess County. The home is 6,000 sq ft. The successful applicant will have a minimum 5+ years of experience working in fine, upscale homes. Candidate MUST have a car or live close to Dutchess County and should be able to drive to and from work. The ideal candidate will be honest, trustworthy and understand the importance of maintaining utmost confidentiality and discretion. The ability to work around the family's schedule while at the same time cleaning and organizing in an efficient manner is important, as is working with other domestic staff. The candidate should have experience working around young children and should be warm and friendly to family members and guests.  Thorough knowledge of cleaning – maintaining various surfaces, antiques, and artwork is expected and a strong understanding of cleaning and care of laundry. The family does NOT send anything out for laundry service, so the ideal candidate must have high-level laundry and ironing skills.  The schedule is five days per week, 40-45 hours per week, with flexibility to work outside those hours when the family is hosting or scheduling events. Candidate must be able to manage his/her time well and prioritize the day ahead. Candidate must be legally able to work in the US, have a valid US driver's license, and pass a thorough background check. The family is only open to local candidates at this time, and the start date is flexible, although the family is eager to start their search! -Full-Time -Live-Out -Start Date: ASAP DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: -High-level laundry skills – full ownership of laundry and ironing -Thorough knowledge regarding cleaning and care for various surfaces, antiques and artwork -Cleaning and preparation of bedrooms/bathrooms of both homes -Sweep, scrub, mop and polish floors -Vacuum carpets, rugs and draperies -Dust and polish furniture, fixtures and fittings -Running errands and special requests -Help with packages -Check home when family is away; call vendors if there is an issue QUALIFICATIONS: -A minimum of 5 years recent, long-term, high-level housekeeping experience required -Excellent references from past employers -Good English skills  -Able to work legally in the United States -Must be able to drive to and from work and run errands on occasion -Understand discretion and respect privacy needs of Principals -Must be able to lift 35 lbs. bend, stretch, stand for extended periods of time, climb stairs, reach, twist, sit, walk, and run COMPENSATION: -Generous hourly rate -Generous Healthcare compensation plan -Paid vacation  -Paid holidays and sick leave -Discretionary annual bonus
