bass player / rhythm guitarist available for regular jamming

I'm 50, family guy, looking for other genX'ers to jam with. Any kind of music that is rock that sounds good. It could go from classic metal to thrash to groove metal to power metal to goth to punk or whatever. I don't mean to jump around all the styles but once we figure out a type of sound we can stay within that space, or not! Whatever! I'm open to good ideas. I'd like to play originals, but one or two covers is not a problem. I just don't want to be in a cover band. I'd ideally like to find someone in my town or neighboring town with a drummer that has own home studio to jam in so we're not rushed to get out. 2 hours goes by fast, but can be productive if everyone is working hard at it. Not that I want the music to be like work, but we all know we have to put work into it to make it sound good. Having said this I'm not averse to going to an hourly studio if everyone is serious about creating an original band together, but I just know from experience having an own studio is much better for original music. Anyway, I'm just putting out this feeler to see if anyone else is interested. If not, maybe I'll take up a new hobby, lol. Thanks for looking. Oh, I have to mention that I can't be around smoke. I have asthma. Drinking is not a problem but I'd like to jam sober with everyone. What you do on your time is your business but if we jam we should all be alert and conscious and not waste each other's time. Am I asking too much? Maybe it's my age, lol. Cheers!
