Description

Come explore the early spring birds at Danehy Park with the Feminist Bird Club of Boston. This urban green space has several kinds of habitats so we should be able to observe a nice variety of birds—resident birds as well as migrating birds. We’ll go over some simple group birding skills at the beginning of the walk. Our hope is to leave you with a greater appreciation for birds and inspire you to speak up for protecting wild habitat, access to urban green spaces and environmental justice. We’ll send details on where exactly to meet to registered attendees in advance. Spaces are limited—if you can’t come, please let us know ASAP. We will maintain a waiting list. We also have a few pairs of extra binoculars we can lend for this outing. Please email us with a request in advance. The Park is a short walk from the Alewife T station and there is parking on site—include accessible parking. We will be on paved paths for the duration.
