Description
We are looking for an excellent, experienced, sous chef to make artisanal quiches in a commissary kitchen. This position will start as part-time (15 hours/ week) and will become a salaried, full-time position. You will have the flexibility of setting your own schedule. Pay is $20/ hr. Please only apply if you will be able to commit to a full-time position in the coming months.
Requirements:
Previous experience cooking in a restaurant
Knowledge of commercial kitchen procedures
Pima County Food Handlers Card
Friendly, positive attitude, reliable
Ability to learn recipes, and adhere to proper cooking techniques
Reliable transportation
Clear communication skills
Ability to problem solve
Time management skills
Your duties will include:
Following Chef’s recipes and cooking techniques
Maintaining kitchen organization and assisting with inventory
Preparing ingredients to go into the quiches, chopping, dicing, slicing, grating, mixing, etc.
Sautéing, roasting, and baking
Properly wrapping and storing quiches
Cleaning all workstations, equipment, floors, etc.
