Alcatraz Shade Shop is an essential business to the Bay Area. We have been in business since 1954 and are the leaders in window fashion sales and repairs. Our repair department business is booming and we seek a qualified individual to hire to assist our lead repair person, Dr. Blinds.
Daily duties include, but not limited to, receiving repairs from customers, preparing work orders, performing repairs, upkeep of workshop rooms, shipping and handling, limited computer input, running sales and ordering necessary items/parts.
Repair duties are a highly skilled trade which we are excited to train the right person. We seek someone who possesses a knowledge of basic tools, basic carpentry, sewing, painting, math; specifically fractions and measuring. We also desire someone with exceptional customer service skills.
Ideally, you are productive, reliable, hard working, interested in learning, handy, creative and patient. We also would love to hire a fun, funny, friendly person!
This position takes extensive training, repairs require great attention to detail. The right person for the job could develop a great career in a niche essential skilled trade. Willingness to learn and hard work will bring great rewards for the repair assistant.
