Job Duties/Qualifications
Under the direction of the Controller, Chip Counters process collection boxes from the gaming tables that are delivered to the count room. The key aspects of the job are listed below, but the most important part of the job is the integrity, trustworthiness, work ethic, and ability to work in teams. This person should also have a deep appreciation for processes and procedures as this job function is highly regulated by the Bureau of Gambling Control. Specific duties include:
o Physically count and rack all chips from each day’s collection boxes that relate tables gaming drop box and record them on the gaming count sheet.
o Record details from every box into an excel/computer-based format.
o Work with 2 other members of the count team in an effective and efficient manner.
o Ability to quickly and precisely count different denominations of chips to determine a total.
o Identify unusual circumstances as they arise and immediately report them to management.
o Must have a flexible schedule Must be at least 21 yrs. of age
o Must qualify for work permit from SBPD (no felony convictions)
