Intermediate Level Diesel Mechanic Skyline Mail Carriers, Inc. is an award-winning logistics company that has been contracting with the United States Postal Service for over 40 years. We operate a fleet of over 90 tractors and trailers in the Northwest. Skyline Mail Carriers, Inc. is looking for intermediate level Diesel Techs to help us in our Preventive Maintenance Program. We are looking for mechanics/techs that have a minimum of 1 year experience working with Volvo, Freightliner trucks or experience in similar field. Willing to train unexperienced candidate with the right attitude and willingness to learn. Candidates must be willing to learn and grow from our current experienced team. Current position is Monday thru Friday from 7:00am – 4:00pm at our Tacoma, WA location. Class A CDL preferred but not required. Additional hourly wage if mechanic/tech has a Class A CDL. Job duties include but are not limited to: - Perform all levels of preventive maintenance services on truck and trailer equipment. - Working independently, keeping clear and accurate records of maintenance performed. - Perform repairs on equipment when needed. - Will use service vehicles to maintain equipment at surrounding local truck yards. - Willing to work overtime if needed.
