Celebrate Barbershop Quartet Day with the Chicago Metro chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society. Enjoy quartets and pizza outdoors. The Chicago Metro chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society ahs been providing a place to sing in the barbershop style for the part 75 years Established in November of 1945 as the Pioneer chapter., they will be presenting a musical event on April 11, National Barbershop Quartet Day, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Marie's Pizza located at 4127 West Lawrence Ave, Chicago, IL. The event will be held behind the building outside in a beautiful piazza complete with picnic tables. We are partnering with the 39th Ward Alderman's office to promote "Everyone in Harmony"! Performing will be Chicago Metro quartets Fermata D' Aria and Voices of Magic, the first registered mixed gender quartet in the Illinois district. We also will have allotted time for guest quartets and pick up quartets. Come enjoy some delicious award winning pizza and other Italian favorites, while listening to great harmony all in a safe outdoor environment. THE EVENT IS FREE. Donations will be accepted to support the Chicago Metro chorus, the only active Barbershop chapter which meets in the city of Chicago. Please come support Marie's Pizza and the chapter while enjoying Barbershop singing and fellowship.
