STONEHAM, MA — Stoneham voters headed to the polls Tuesday to cast a ballot in the 2021 Town Election. There were contested races for Select Board, Constable and one- and three-year seats on the School Committee. The polls closed at 8 p.m. Voters also had the option to cast a ballot by mail thanks to expanded rules that allowed any person taking precautions related to COVID-19 to qualify for absentee voting by reason of physical disability. Raymie Glass Parker was re-elected to the Select Board, receiving the most votes of the three candidates. Challenger David Pignone Jr. edged out Robert Lawler by 11 votes, landing the second three-year seat. Jaime Wallace was re-elected to a three-year term on the School Committee. Voters selected Melanie Fiore for the second open seat. Betty Chu Pryor won the race for a one-year term on the School Committee. All three incumbent candidates for constable were re-elected.
