The Comfort Inn & Suites is looking for a part time Maintenance canidate. Position: Part-Time Shifts: Sundays & Mondays (9am-5:30pm) POSITION SUMMARY Main task of a hotel maintenance is to perform general, preventive and emergency maintenance. SKILLS •Operational skills: High amount of operational skills are required to know all types of maintenance jobs, such as repairing, working of equipment's, engineering work, etc. •Customer service skills: Hotel maintenance is all about providing high amount of quality to its customers. •Interpersonal skills: A hotel maintenance person should have good interpersonal skills as he/she deals with superiors, colleagues, and different kinds of customers. •Management skills: Few maintenance person also has to perform job of a supervisor or a manager thus requiring management skills. •Scheduling and planning skills: A maintenance person has to perform a number of jobs at a time thus planning and scheduling is a must. DUTIES •Must perform task such as repairing of various equipments and materials, replacement of electronics, painting, cleaning, or wiring work. •Also maintenance of refrigerators, televisions, air conditioners, etc. must be done regularly. •Respond to all guest's request within a timely and efficient manner. •To keep check that all safety equipment like fire alarms, fire extinguishers, etc. are in place and in working condition. •Maintain all mechanical areas in an orderly and clean condition. •Inspect public areas daily for any issues. •Pool and spa chemical testing. •Providing maintenance repairs to guest rooms, public areas and administrative offices. •Repairs may include plumbing, electrical, heating, cooling, ventilation, furnishings and fixtures, painting, wall cover repairs, light carpentry, door and window repairs. •Refurbishing of chairs, tables, doors, windows and counters in order to keep it maintained for a long time. •Respond or perform duties of groundskeeper like cleaning and maintenance of parking lot, garden or landscaping, swimming pool, etc. •Maintain the Room Preventive Maintenance Program and consistently keep updated records on file. •After hours on-call availability if an issue arises, available weekends. •Must keep inventory of department tools and machinery. Therefore responsible that all tools and machinery being used are returned to their proper place. •Must keep organization of working space available to the department. •Always use proper uniform and comply with the established department & company dress and grooming requirements.
