Description
PUYALLUP, WA — The Puyallup Farmer's Market will return this Saturday.
The market says opening day will run 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. and will be held at a new location — downtown between Main and Pioneer Streets and 3rd and 2nd.
Organizers say they hope to return to the park later this year, but for the foreseeable future the market will be held across this smattering of streets and parking lots.
Also sticking around for the foreseeable future: COVID-19 safety restrictions. The market asks that visitors wear facial masks and practice safe social distancing. They're also asked to refrain from bringing pets to the market during the pandemic.
But, if visitors can handle those few restrictions, the market says dozens of vendors will be offering some wonderful produce like flowers, root crops and plant starts.
The Puyallup Farmer's Market started back in the 1980s and has since partnered with over 200 local vendors, featuring roughly 60 farmers each week. The market usually begins in mid-April and wraps up in October.
