Thursday June 3rd, 5 to 9 pm Twin Elder Brewery Parking lot Victor. Help us Raise funds for Rock Steady Boxing Victor. Poling for Parkinson's will start and finish place at the trail near Twin Elder Brewery. Event tents will be set up in their parking lot (160 School Street, Victor). We will use Urban Poling © Activator and Nordic Walking Poles for the event (not required to participate but read on for benefits from use). The poles can be purchased through Safe at Home Physical Therapy. These poles help build core strength, provide a full body workout, improve balance and stability. and improve posture (only a short list of benefits from the poles designed by an occupational therapist in Canada). Five percent of pole sales will go towards our fund raiser. Funds raised from the walk will be used for boxer scholarships for participation in the Rock Steady Boxing Victor programs, physical therapy, supplies/equipment, to help those with low or no insurance coverage pay for treatment programs as well as transportation.
