CHICAGO HEIGHTS, IL — The Consolidated Elections are finally here. After months of preparation and campaigning, candidates and residents will soon know who the people of Chicago Heights have elected for school boards, township boards and more. The polls in Suburban Cook County open at 6 a.m. Tuesday and will remain so until 7 p.m. Election officials say that if you're in line by 7, you will be able to vote no matter how long the line is.Chicago Heights voters will weigh in on a number of contested races in this election. School Boards In December, 693 candidates filed to run for school boards all around Cook County. Here is a look at Chicago Heights school board races: Bloom Township High School District 206 candidates who filed are Henry Drake, Karen King, Anthony J Murphy, Theresa McCoy Carpenter, Elizabeth Morales, John A. Pina and Renatta Lavette Frazier. Chicago Heights School District 170 candidates are James C 'Jimmy' Cordes, Adelena 'Adele' Palombi-Propst, Errick Stringfellow, Katherine 'Katie' Kelly, Joel A. Lopez De Nava, Lorena R. Varela, Sandra Lee Anderson and Bettye H. Faulkner-Ridley. Bloom Township For the Bloom Township race, many candidates are on the ballot.
