VASA EXPRESS LLC Employment type: Contract Compensation: $1000-$1500 PER WEEK (estimated). Dependent upon the loads and how efficient you are. The longer you're on the road the more you make. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: EXPERIENCE WITH ELD LOG BOOK is a MUST Medical card (DOT card) Clean driving record 21 years or older Experience safely transporting This is a 1099 contract job and you will be required to travel CONTRACTOR RESPONSIBILITIES: Requirements needed to qualify for conservation of INDEPENDENT CONTRACTORS with Transouza, LLC and VASA EXPRESS LLC. 1. Contractors must have a valid ID(for helpers) and DL(for drivers) with any applicable endorsements. 2. Contractor (Driver or Helper) must be able to pass all DOT requirements which include bi-annual physical and random drug screens. 3. Contractor Driver must have and maintain an acceptable MVR and criminal reports (this also applies to helpers) Transouza and VASA EXPRESS LLC have the right to asses what is acceptable. 4. Contractor Drivers must have ability to maneuver a 26-foot straight truck through urban metropolitan areas with care and accuracy helper must assist driver through difficult areas. 5. Contractor Driver / Helper must be in fit physical condition to complete physically demanding tasks including but not limited to heavy lifting and climbing many flights of stairs. 6. Contractor Driver / Helper must have good communication skills for costumer interaction. 7. Contractor Driver / Helper must show up on time every day or Contractor Driver / Helper will be fully responsible for any legal fines or penalties incurred to Transouza LLC and VASA EXPRESS LLC due to their absence. Any any legal fines, fees or penalties will be deducted from compensation. 8. Contractor Driver / Helper is fully responsible for any equipment and supplies that are the property of Transouza LLC and VASA EXPRESS LLC including but not limited to tools, truck, and hand trucks. Any damage, repairs, or replacement costs will be deducted from compensation. 9. Contractor Driver / Helper is fully responsible for making all scheduled deliveries for each day. Failure to do so within a reasonable timeframe will result in fines, fees, and penalties deducted from compensation, unless it is clear with Transouza LLC and VASA EXPRESS LLC not to do so. 10. Contractor Driver / Helper is fully responsible for any and all customer property damages caused by the team. Any penalties or charges from damages will be divided equally among all members of the team involved in the incident and will be deducted from compensation. 11. Contractor Driver / Helper must give a minimum 30-day notice before being release of their duties or contractor forfeits their compensation for that pay period. 12. Contractor Driver / Helper last paycheck will be held for 15 days to cover any potential pending claims, fines, or penalties. 13. Contractor Driver / Helper must understand that this is a contracted position without benefits and must have their own workplace compensation insurance and health insurance. TRANSOUZA LLC and VASA EXPRESS LLC are not liable for any work-related injuries or illness. While our positions are not best suited for individuals with strict home/family commitments as work includes overnight travel, we do try to maximize home time. We have a no forced dispatch policy and a flexible work schedule with no pre-set number of personal days off. Drivers are allowed to take trucks home, if adequate parking is available or we will try to find parking options close by. All team members are considered independent contractors and will be provided a 1099 form for tax purposes.
