Prepare to be transported to Italy and Nonna's kitchen as we take a step by step hands-on approach to making fresh tortellini and ravioli. Chef Susan Avello with Lean Bean Chef invites you to join us in our fresh pasta workshop making homemade tortellini and ravioli, making home made sauce and sharing our handiwork with the class as we eat lunch at the end of class. *Pasta will be avail to take home. DETAILS: Who doesn’t love fresh pasta. Making it from scratch is not that difficult if you can grasp the correct technique. Our Chef Instructor will walk you through the process from creating the perfect hand-made pasta dough, to the myriads of fillings and the art of shaping pasta by hand. We will also discuss the types of sauces that can be used to finish the pasta and will share a meal of some of our handiwork at the end of class. In our group cooking classes you'll work together with other participants in a fun, hands-on environment led by our professional chef instructors. In this class you will: *Learn fundamental skills for a lifetime of great cooking *Work side-by-side with other participants to prepare each dish *Interact with classmates and the instructor for a rich learning experience *Have tons of fun in a creative and entertaining environment *Eat what we make and take home fresh pasta ___________________________________________________________________ HOW LONG DO THEY LAST? Classes are 2 to 2 1/2 hours, unless otherwise noted above, and each participant will be able to taste every dish. Some adult classes may also end with a complimentary glass of wine (if specified) Each class is held in our professional kitchens and led by an experienced chef instructor. All classes are education, fun, entertaining and interactive. A wonderful social spot to gather with like-minded folks who share like-minded passions. SPECIAL ACCOMMODATION: For those with gluten and dairy allergies or sensitivities we can offer a gluten-free pasta dough with a vegan ricotta filling (option) training. Working with gluten-free dough is much different than traditional semolina flour and this option will give you details into making your favorite pasta dough gluten-free and dairy free.
