From the University of Alabama at Birmingham: April 6, 2021 By Brianna Hoge Join the University of Alabama at Birmingham's African American Studies Program for a conversation around mental health for women in the Black community. The virtual event will be streamed via Zoom at 4 p.m. Wednesday, April 7. Nadia Richardson, Ph.D., instructor in the UAB School of Health Professions, will be joined by Joy Harden-Bradford, Ph.D., licensed psychologist and founder of the "Therapy for Black Girls" podcast. This discussion will be the third seminar of a series on Black mental health sponsored by the UAB African American Studies Program, part of UAB's College of Arts and Sciences.
