Press release from the Atlanta Police Department: 04/05/2021 UPDATED: Preliminary investigation revealed that the decedent, an adult male, ran into the roadway on the interstate and was struck by a vehicle. Charges are not anticipated in the case. The next of kin has not yet been notified.   Previously Released: 210951816 Preliminary information:  On April 5, 2021 at around 10:23 PM, officers were dispatched to I-75-85 NB EXPY NW / 17TH ST NW about a pedestrian struck by a vehicle.  Upon arrival, officers located a male in the middle of the highway unresponsive.  Grady EMT's arrived on scene and pronounced the male deceased.  The driver involved in the accident remained on scene.  The Accident Investigations Unit will be responding to determine the circumstances surrounding the fatal accident.  The investigation continues.
