Press release from the Atlanta Police Department: 04/06/2021 210960965 Preliminary Information: On 4/6/21, around 12:57 pm, officers responded to a person shot at the location of 731 Joseph E Boone. Blvd. SW.(Shoppers Supermarket) Upon arrival, officers located a male victim with a gunshot wound. The victim was alert, conscious, and breathing and transported to the hospital for treatment. Preliminary investigation indicates a male suspect was involved in a dispute inside the store with a manager. After the dispute, the male left the location and later returned with a firearm then began shooting. The victim did not appear to be an intended target when he was struck by a round of gunfire. The suspect fled the scene before police arrival. This investigation remains ongoing.  Please keep in mind the above information is preliminary in nature and can change as the investigation progresses and new information comes to light.
