Ardent Communities is a family-owned Columbus, OH based property management company. With over 20 properties around the Columbus and surrounding areas, we are well established and growing! The groundskeeper position is a previous role that we are expanding to include additional properties. This person will takes pride in meticulous upkeep of grounds, amenities, building exteriors and leasing office, parking lots and other community buildings. We’re looking for a self-motivated person who is detail-oriented to maintain curb appeal to the property. The role requires a dependable person who takes ownership and has the drive to keep a multi-family property looking exceptional year round. Responsibilities: - Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the pool area, setting up the area daily. This is includes organizing the furniture, emptying trash, putting up the umbrellas and cleaning the area of debris. - Responsible for vacuuming the pool when needed and maintaining chemicals throughout the day. The groundskeeper will be trained on these items to understand the correct chemical balances. - Responsible for snow removal and salting around clubhouse/model and sidewalks along with anywhere else deemed necessary. - Remove trash from office areas and apartment community on a daily basis. This includes but is not limited to cigarette butts, dog waste and trash. - Weeding of beds and watering of plants. - Monitor dog waste stations, empty waste, re-stock puppy gloves. - Ensures all signage is straight and free of debris. - Repair fencing, paint fencing when needed along with any additional exterior repairs needed or requested by management. - Patrol patio areas and warn/fine tenant along with informing the manager. - Immediately report all unsafe conditions & ensure that unsafe conditions are corrected in a timely manner. - Report any maintenance concerns for repairs on clubhouse, common areas and buildings. - Uphold all company policies, goals and values. - Deliver communication documentation to residents when needed. - Assist Property Manager and/or perform assigned tasks in a timely manner. - Assist management or maintenance team with other various tasks required. - Any additional items as directed by Regional Managers, Property Manager and Maintenance Supervisor. Requirements: - Minimum 1 year of groundskeeping experience - Willing to undergo a background check, in accordance with local law/regulations - Valid drivers license - Bank account in your name for direct deposit Benefits: - Uniforms Provided - Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance offered - Paid Holidays after 90 days - 401k offered after a year
