Description
The Lifespan Emotional Development Lab at Northeastern University is recruiting for a research study on emotions in adulthood. We’re looking for healthy men and women ages 60+ with no history of psychiatric or neurological problems.
Are you ages 60+? Do you have an iPhone? Would you like to earn up to $200 for your participation?
Participation in this fully remote study occurs over the course of about 3 months and requires 3 weeks of smartphone surveys on your mobile device and two virtual laboratory visits over Zoom.
The first virtual laboratory visit over HIPAA compliant Zoom (1.5 hours) involves filling out questionnaires and receiving training on the smartphone sampling app. The second laboratory visit occurs about 3 months later and involves filling out questionnaires, feedback, and an exit interview.
During three of the weeks in between the laboratory visits, you will use an app on your mobile device to complete surveys in which you will be prompted to respond about recent social and emotional experiences. These brief surveys will prompt responses five times a day for seven consecutive days. To participate in this study, you must generally be able to respond within 1 hour to survey prompts.
Payment occurs at the end of the study (up to $200). Participants will receive $40 for completing both laboratory sessions and $1 for every completed survey. If participants complete 75% of surveys, they will receive a bonus of $25. If participants complete 90% of surveys, they will receive the full $200.
