Hard to believe it's been 20 years. It's gone by so fast. I am so sorry for the way things ended, for the pain you had to suffer. You wrote some harsh words to me, but I have always wanted to believe that you wrote them because you had to in order to save face. We both declared our love for one another, no matter what happened, so I choose to believe that you have always kept that declaration in your heart. You were the only person in my life that made me feel as though I was desired. I miss that. I crave that. Not a day has gone by that I haven't thought about you. My memories of our times together have never faded, nor will they ever. Your name is constantly on my lips. I fear that one day I will be locked up in a memory care unit and all I will be able to utter will be your name because it is permanently engraved upon my brain.
