Handyman/Carpenter's Assistant-Short Term w Potential for Future Work

Full-service property maintenance company in Evergreen, presently remodeling several rooms in a clients' home under a tight time crunch, and need a handyman or carpenter's assistant to work several days a week. Work includes installing T&G ceiling, installing reclaimed barn wood onto walls, some minor framing, some staining and painting, some rough baseboard & crown moulding installation. Requirements: * You must be reliable, dependable and on time. That means when you commit to a day and time you're going to show up to work, you'll be expected to keep your commitment and be there. * You must have a strong work ethic, take pride in your work and the finished product, and be willing to work at a steady pace during a full 8 to 10 hour workday. * You must have a driver's license and reliable transportation to and from work. * At the very least, you should be able to read a tape measure and operate basic tools such as a miter saw, table saw, circular saw, air gun and compressor, etc. * You must be able to follow basic instructions, solve basic problems and willing to learn. * You must have a willingness to work steadily throughout the day without needing to take cigarette breaks. These particular clients are very health conscious and have requested no smoking on their property. * Be trustworthy and honest, as our clients require extensive background checks for anyone working in their home. This isn't difficult or overly strenuous work and it's not critical that you know every aspect of construction, just above average basic knowledge of remodeling and operating tools. This is presently a part time position. Prefer someone who can seriously commit to at least two to three days a week beginning April 21 thru the third week of May. If this job works out and we work well together there is potential for a steady flow of work with generous pay in the future. Pay will be based on knowledge, experience and your commitment to our workdays.
