We're looking for a special someone who will fit in with our exclusive, luxury pet boarding facility. This special someone must be presentable, reliable, love animals and be respectful of others. The job entails daily cleaning/disinfecting of up to 10 kennel suites, bathing dogs, taking them for walks and playing with them. There are also 6 play yards which must be cleaned and disinfected, holes filled, daily. There may be occasional need to help with incoming and outgoing animals (getting them from their suites, taking their belongings to their cubbies, helping pet parents with carrying supplies to/from their vehicle, and more. You must be willing to learn how to use positive reinforcement training methods to communicate with our K9 guests. Our facility offers long term board and train programs, as well as daily boarding options. We also have a pool for K9 swimming activities. This job is part time Monday - Friday, 7:30 am - 12 pm. We will begin taking applications, but will not decide until May. Then there will be several weeks of on the job training as you learn how to use the cleaning machinery, work with the dogs and other routines. Training pay begins at $9/hr. When you're in the swing of things beginning in June, pay will be raised to $12/hr. Should you become an indispensable part of our team, you will gradually get raises to $15/hr. depending on the quality of your work and reliability. While we would prefer someone with some pet experience, we understand that not all pet enthusiasts have experience in the pet business.
