It goes without saying that you are eager to provide excellent service and provide fantastic work for your clients, plus the ability to get along with just about every type of person. POSITION & SCHEDULE CMI is currently hiring for the position of General Maintenance Provider. This is a full-time, non-exempt position that serves various properties in the greater Portland area and is assigned a company vehicle and cell phone. Candidates must be 25 years or older, have a valid driver’s license, and pass a driving record screen to be insurable. Weekly after hours on-call duty is required approximately every 5 weeks. The hours are Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm with 30 minutes for lunch. These hours are subject to change based on the needs of our clients. Some overtime may be necessary. This position has a great schedule for those wanting their afternoons and weekends free! PRIMARY ACTIVITIES, SKILLS, AND REQUIREMENTS • Willingness to learn • Ability to take direction • Ability to solve problems OR ask questions if needed • Flexibility, confidentiality and the ability to pick up tasks are imperative for the lucky candidate that successfully completes the interview process, pre-employment requirements, including a drug screen and criminal background check. CMI participates in E-Verify. • General handyman tasks; gutter cleaning; changing light bulbs; litter patrols; power washing; power blowing, pool/spa work, painting, minor sheet rock repair, etc. • Pool/spa and lighting experience is a plus, but we are willing to train • Minimum of two years of recent job-related work experience • Able to: lift up to 75 pounds; read instructions for mixing and testing chemicals and using power equipment safely; perform basic mathematical calculations; and write a daily log. • Candidates must supply 3 professional references supporting their abilities in these areas A FEW MORE THINGS • The minimum starting wage for this position is $18.00 per hour. • Uniforms and a company cell phone are provided. • Benefits package includes 401k, 125 Cafeteria Plan, Paid Time Off and Paid Holidays.
