Warehouse Associate: Now Experience needed, no interview at the client site required! Our client was originally founded as a Home Delivery Service in 1970, they have over 40 years of proven success in extending brand experiences through over 80 million home deliveries in North America. The client site inventories and then prepares for delivery, via a group of Independent Contractors, various home furnishings to families across the Portland Metropolitan area. Job Summary: As a member of the warehouse team, you will have the opportunity to work in a variety of roles: Receiving, Staging/Shipping, and/or Returns. Don't just get a job, get a career!" Receiving department: you will be responsible for the unloading of trucks delivering goods from a variety of companies. All items are placed in coded inventory locations. You will use the start of the art warehouse management system that supports efficient workflow and successful task completion. Inventory accuracy and workflow efficiency are key to being successful in the role. Staging/Shipping: In this role, the team members are picking from inventory and pre-staging product for pick up from local delivery companies. Items are moved from warehouse inventory locations and put into delivery lanes in the shipping area. Some items are uncrated and assembled to manufacturer specs and other are left crated for pick-up. All team members provide Quality Assurance and inspect products prior to pick-up from the delivery agents. Returns: Products are brought back to the warehouse by the local delivery agents. Some items are in original packaging and simply need to be returned to inventory. Others need to be re-wrapped and packaged for return to the vendor. Recycling: The team member will be responsible for the sorting of raw materials: cardboard, foam, plastic, etc. Along with this, they will operate an industrial shredder; demonstrating adherence to safety protocols. Required Skills and Experience: 1. Show up every day and put in a real effort! 2. Minimum of 1-2 years general work experience 3. Ability to lift up to 50lbs from time to time 4. Ability to learn the use of a warehouse logistics system 5. Strong attention to detail 6. Assembly experience and/or aptitude for the Staging/Shipping role. 7. Desire to succeed Shift Schedule: • Receiving Department: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Overtime is generally available each week. • Staging/Shipping Department: Tuesday to Saturday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Overtime is generally available each week. • Returns: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Overtime is readily available each week.
