Production Associate Our Client is a locally owned and operated company, where Oregon-based artisans handcrafting fine woolen accessories, specializing in uniquely original accouterments that adorn a golfer’s lifestyle. Position Summary: This position is responsible for identifying and pulling fabrics and materials for hand cutting with the rotary blade of orders by style/ pattern shape. They will Interpret the information provided accurately execute and organize to prepare for sewing while communicating out-of-stock fabrics or quality issues in materials. Essential Duties: • Maintains a high level of organization of orders and cut them in an efficient manner, to completion for sewing. • Be able to interpret information from a sales order to the production setup. • Physically cutting materials on a daily basis while maintaining high-quality standards. • Taking detailed notes and communicating the wait on fabrics or other missing items for the order to the Production Team. • Excellent communication skills. • Positive upbeat can-do attitude on a daily basis, including in stressful situations. Daily Job Duties: • Consistently cutting fabrics with a sharp rotary blade/ straight edge and scissors, while handling instruments in a safe and responsible manner. • Prepare orders for embroidery or apply heat transfer logos. • Prepare trims needed for sewing, elastic, lining, Pellon, special labels. • Assists in the cutting of Online Customer orders and wholesale, executes with high level of care and high-quality craftsmanship. Education/Experience Requirements • High School Diploma, or GED completion • Some College experience is preferred, but not required for the right candidate. Physical Requirements • Consistently cutting fabrics with sharp rotary blade/ straight edge and scissors, while handling instruments in a safe and responsible manner. • The dexterity to tie small ties, visibly see small details and discern between thread and fabric, and the ability to determine colors accurately is very important and crucial to the success of this position. • Communication in English is integral to this position. Position Requirements: • Hours are firmly set at 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with a half-hour unpaid lunch. Pay Rate: Up to $18.00/hour - Depending on skills and experience.
