Tailors and Seamstresses?

I'm a man with a good bit of bulk and a good but of belly and I've become fed up with "big and tall" - I'm not stupid, they just plain don't fit and aren't flattering. They also seem to think that I want to dress in blacks and grays and browns, and I do not! No amount of "slimming black" makes my belly look smaller, and honestly? I'm pushing 40 - I want to clothe said belly, and I want to wear colors! I had a think and I reached out to a friend of mine who is pregnant: her first trip shopping to maternity clothes left her in tears! She loves bright colors and patterns more than I do - they just don't make that! Also, despite being clothes allegedly made for pregnant women, they also didn't fit! This is madness! So I've started doing my own research about clothing and fat distribution and I can't seem to find them so much as living in the same part of the internet. So if anyone better at garment construction than me (which is almost anyone) has any tips or would let me pick their brain, please reach out!
