This position is for assembly techs working in an assembly line using various hand and power tools installing OEM parts in vehicles that were converted into handicap accessible. Duties: Assembly Area • Operate air tools and hand tools • Installation OEM interior and exterior paneling and trim • Installation OEM grade flooring/ carpet/ Durafloor • Ensure proper 4 wheel alignment on converted vans using OEM specifications • Build with adherence to documented processes and quality (inspection) criteria Electrical Area • Operate crimping machine, air tools, hand tools, heat gun and soldering torches • Installation of OEM parts and company parts/components • Installing sliding doors and ensure proper alignment • Install company trolleys and ramp systems • Measuring/cutting various wire gages, crimping terminal connectors, soldering, and heat shrink • Assembling and modifying OEM/company wire harnesses and components for all product lines • Build with adherence to documented processes and quality (inspection) criteria Paint & Body • Operate air tools, hand tools • Perform body work on van, sand, primer, prep all surfaces for painting • Mix/ weigh paint and primer and maintain paint/ primer guns • Build with adherence to documented processes and quality (inspection) criteria KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals • Ability to read, learn and understand instructions, both written and verbal, in English • Ability to read and understand work orders and schematics • Must know proper use of hand and power tools • Employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds QUALIFICATIONS: • Assembly or manufacturing experience preferred • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Lean Six Sigma certification a plus • Must be available to work overtime and/or weekends based on business needs • Must possess ability to work and cope well under pressure in a fast-paced environment and within production cycle times • Must be quality and detail-oriented, and have great organizational skills • Ability to work in a team environment and be flexible to change • Honest, ethical and handles things in a professional manner Learn and grow within the company and be a part of a team that builds mobility for people!!
