Employment type: full-time for the 2021 season. Possible part time for the right person. Compensation: starting pay - $17/hour (proven experience and attitude can increase pay). Working hours typically Monday through Friday 8am – 4pm. Overtime if/when required. Paid weekly. Shop location: Royal Oak. Work zone: Huntington Woods, Berkley, Birmingham and Southfield. Looking for candidates with a good work ethic and a sense of humor to help a seasoned team perform quality work. Ability and willingness to perform the following duties: • Plant trees, shrubs, flowers, sod, mulch and rocks. • Use of hand and power tools to perform a wide range of lawn and landscape duties. • Work for extended periods of time in various weather conditions, including overtime. • Ability to use hedge/pole trimmers skillfully, power and hand tools. • Work from elevated heights such as an 8’ A-frame ladder. • Clean and maintain equipment • Take direction from the team lead and willingness to provide productive feedback to help us do a better job. Job Qualifications: • 1+ season of professional landscape experience is required for consideration. • Must be able to withstand exposure to all kinds of weather while completing work assignments, i.e., rain, heat, sun, cold…within reason. • Must have endurance necessary to perform these duties throughout a standard eight-ten-hour day (Saturday when we need it, no Sunday work…you rest). • Must be able to operate all required tools and equipment. • Must have reliable transportation to and from work and a valid driver’s license.
