It’s odd isn’t it? You meet someone that literally shakes the ground beneath your feet and then they’re nothing more than a hiccup in the universe. Like a phantom passing through the fabric of time to walk through the physical world. As if a fading mist, falling delicately on to the stone pavement; echoing my futures footsteps. A formidable opponent. I have never felt such strong emotions for a man that carelessly toyed with the affections of people that admired him. I fell for you and I pity you. As you pitied me-as kindly as I can be, to the point of sheer cruelty. Such unfeeling, selfishness, with a believably kind expression. You had me fooled for a minute. It broke my heart just to know that someone could execute such fraudulent genuineness so eloquently. A tiny piece of me carries what I wanted to be mutual respect. A girl can dream even if her dreams are only glorious lies with a fallen Angel. A glitch in the matrix? Perhaps. A tragic accident. Most definitely. A joyful meeting of minds with a sad ending. I cared beyond the shallow idea of a romantic infatuation. I just liked you when you were being you. Now all I hear is the sound of silence and images of you I desperately want to erase from my mind. You behaved so strangely, I can’t help but wish for some kind of explanation. Am I not even worthy of so simple a request? It took everything in my power not to mirror you. Still, I acted a fool.
