Employment Opportunities - Cornucopia Cruise Lines, located in New York City, Hoboken, NJ and Perth Amboy, NJ, seeks the following full-time, part-time marine crew positions aboard its wedding/banquet and dinner cruise ships: Captain - Essential Functions/Responsibilities - Requires Master, 100 Ton License - Operate 120ft Commercial yachts - Perform Pre- and PostTrip inspection of Vessel - Troubleshoot and identify problems which may occur on board the vessel while in operation - Familiarity with the inland waterways from Raritan Bay to New York Harbor - Boats are moored in Hoboken NJ and Perth Amboy NJ - Having a TWIC card is beneficial Deck Hands - Cleaning Crew - Essential Functions/Responsibilities -Perform Pre- and Post-Trip inspection of Vessel -Troubleshoot and identify problems which may occur on board the vessel while in operation -Clean bathrooms, engine room checks, etc. -Deal with customer service issues as they arise -Ensure vessel is clean and ready for service, at the beginning of the day and at the end of the day -Follow direction of captain while on board -Monitor passengers while on board to ensure safety -Ability to operate in a customer service environment. - Having a TWIC card is beneficial Marine Mechanics -- Essential Functions/Responsibilities - Perform mechanical overhaul and repair work on gasoline and diesel marine engines, motors, and related marine equipment. -Establishes and maintain a preventive maintenance program for marine engines and related marine equipment. -Periodically test marine engines and related marine equipment to determine need for repairs or adjustments. -Repair and maintain hydraulic equipment. -Operates hand and power tools associated with marine engine and related marine equipment repair. -Assist in fabrication of parts as necessary to facilitate repairs. -Purchases parts and supplies. -Write equipment specifications and recommendations for purchase of marine equipment.
