Description
Join YWCA National Capital Area as we Stand Against Racism.
Join us on Saturday, April 24 from Noon-2 pm for a community rally on Freedom Plaza where we take a Stand Against Racism and show our commitment to healthy & equitable communities.
This year’s event will feature story sharing and calls to action from speakers & activists committed to racial justice, along with a declaration of why we (and you should too!) Stand Against Racism.
After the short program, we invite you to stand with all of us & hold signs of solidarity to show our community that together we can end racism.
Bring your own sign or use one of ours! You can purchase #SignsAgainstRacism from our newly launched YW EmpowerShop or at our office, 2303 14th Street NW, Suite 100.
Note: We will be following COVID-19 regulations from the DC Department of Health. As such, masks will be required & we will follow social distance requirements. Masks & hand sanitizer will be available .
